[Daphne Reese|16|Sarcastic & Funny]
Daphne found herself at the edge of the dock. Water had always been a comfort to her. The sea breezes rushed through her hair. On nights like this in Hawaii, her brother would take out his old ukulele. He had gotten it at an old novelty shop they always used to go to as kids and he would sing any Hawaiian words he thought of. Of course, the sunset there would simply take your breath away. Here, it was almost like a black and white painting. Sunset here seemed blan almost as if something more should be there. Maybe more color. Maybe it was just a family to enjoy it with.
Sittin at the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away. Sitting at the dock of the bay, wasting time. The lyrics to Mom's favorite song came to mind. Unexpectedly, they made Daphne laugh. She knew her mother was always with her. They had always been closer than an ordinary mother and daughter. They were best friends. She took out the photo album Karina had given her at the a going away luau. The pages were overflowing with memories. Memories... -She laughed.- Right now they were the only good things she had left. Page after page showed the girls enjoying themselves riding bikes or maybe surfing. The feelings Daphne got as she recalled them were uplifting. Not used to the fall weather, she hugged herself tighter with her light navy pullover.
